Introducing Christchurch chiropractor, Dr Jennifer M. Reynolds

Dr Jennifer Reynolds

Chiropractic Care has had such a positive and enhancing effect on my own health that it inspired me to change careers!  I started my first career in health care 22 years ago, leaving Dublin, Ireland to study nursing in London.  Later, I specialized in Intensive and Special Care of the newborn, then progressing to become a UK Health Visitor (Public Health).

During this time I spent 10 years accommodating a chronic recurring low back issue, which affected my quality of life considerably, the typical “nurses back” so to speak.  After seeking various options, it was only after experiencing regular chiropractic care, whilst working in the Middle East that I became pain free.  The very first time in a decade!!

The experience was much more than that.  I wanted to experience the increased energy levels and ‘zest for life’ that I observed in the chiropractors that took great care of me (Thanks Dr Gary and Dr Lorene Dennis).  After emigrating, I commenced the Chiropractic degree at the NZ College of Chiropractic.  I have also pursued studies in functional neurology, known as Applied Kinesiology, a specialty in chiropractic, in addition to Pediatrics studies (Webster Technique), and the specialized care of the pregnant women.

I believe passionately in taking a holistic approach to health, ensuring there is balance physically, emotionally, biochemically and spiritually on an individual basis to achieve optimal health.

Dr Jennifer adjusts her son, Fionn.

Christchurch is also a new destination for my family, we fell in love with the sheer beauty of the South Island when we toured in 1999.  My husband Andrew and son Fionn and I are officially Kiwis now and busy putting down roots.

It’s great to be part of the established Roughan Chiropractic team, where complete care is our focus.

As sharing the care of her son Fionn, Dr Jennifer is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday plus Saturday morning clinic.
