Introducing Christchurch Chiropractor, Dr. Jarom T. Armstrong

Chiropractic for me was something that I fell into by accident. From a young age, I have always been involved in sport with a particular love for rugby and rugby league. I would drive my mother crazy practicing my chip and chase around the house, striving to perfect my skills with the rugby ball. After finishing high school, one of my rugby coaches floated the idea of going back overseas to University to study Chiropractic and play rugby as part of a scholarship program.
Not knowing what chiropractic was or what chiropractors did, over a period of time I met a number of people who were either studying chiropractic, chiropractors themselves, or people who had benefited from receiving chiropractic care. Later on I found out my mother was a big fan of chiropractic and had been seeing a chiropractor for an injury she sustained while pregnant with my younger brother. The more I learnt about chiropractic, the more fascinated I became with it and wanted to learn more, and the rest, as they say is history.
I have been under chiropractic care for a number of years now and despite sports injuries and other minor health issues along the way, I have been able to bounce back faster and stronger than before.
My clinical experiences constantly remind me of benefits outside of injury and pain management that chiropractic can assist with. My interests in neurology, nutrition and sport have led me to undertake post-graduate studies in Applied Kinesiology with others to follow in the near future.
One of the beauties of joining the Roughan Chiropractic Team in Christchurch is being able to liaise with team members who have talents in one or more of my fields of interest, ensuring a unique and effective team approach to patient management. I look forward to meeting you and working together to achieve your health goals.
