Your First Visit to Our Christchurch Practice

Roughan

When you arrive at our Practice here at 314 Riccarton Road, you will be greeted by one of our cheerful Chiropractic Assistants. You will be in a bright  open reception area, with lots of windows to the adjacent garden. The toilets are in the reception lobby area, just after the automatic opening doors. Disabled toilets and parents room are along the hallway. You will be invited to fill in the required paperwork either within the reception area, or in our quiet Consulting room. One of our team can assist you in the completion of the necessary forms. You are welcome to use our Filtered Water dispenser, read one of the current magazines available, or read today's morning Press.

You will be called into a consulting room to meet the doctor who will be attending to you. That doctor will greet you, refer to your completed case history questionnaire, Dr. Simon and Bradleyand guide you through a process of discussing your health concerns, current injuries and relevant medical history. The doctor will then discuss whether chiropractic can assist you with your health concerns. If chiropractic is deemed to help then you will be guided by the Doctor to the examination room.  That is where we record our examination findings: height, weight, blood pressure, ranges of motion, specific nerve reflex tests and specific joint mobility challenge tests. If a spinal XRay examination is considered appropriate, taking into account recent trauma injury, or specific joint or nerve reflex findings, then the doctor will proceed to our Diagnostic Imaging suite to assist you with this part of the examination.

The Doctor will summarise the findings from today's consult and examination, and arrange an appointment for the next suitable time to then report back to you on the pertinent findings, and consider options of appropriate care. This initial visit can take from 40 to 60 minutes of your time.
