Back in 1981, Roughan Chiropractic was originally established in the West Coast area. In the years since, our team has enjoyed serving numerous people from all walks of life. We’re pleased that we are able to provide chiropractic services to the community in and around Hokitika.
Dr Haley Hunt is the chiropractor on-site providing care in Hoktika. She is a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University in the U.S., which is where she first encountered Roughan Chiropractic via an internship. She is proud to make New Zealand her home!
Conveniently Located
You’ll find that our clinic has a convenient location close to the town centre, on the corner of Hampden Street and Bealy Street. Just turn at St Andrew’s Parish and you’ll see us in a two-storey grey building. There is one off-street parking available for those that need easy access, or angled parking available across the road.
Note that our location is accessible, as it has a ramp. You do not need to worry about having to climb stairs to reach our practice.
A Positive Experience
We aim to make sure every time you see us, you have a pleasant experience. Our practice is friendly and welcoming and equipped to make you feel comfortable. In our reception area you will find filtered water and a selection of magazines and newspapers that you can peruse at your leisure.
Our bathroom facilities are accessible, and a changing table for infants is available. No matter what your age or current level of health, know that we are able to accommodate you and your needs.
Financial Information
When receiving care at our clinic, you’ll generally be either a private paying patient or injured and claiming under the ACC scheme. If you are claiming part of the visit through the ACC scheme we will have ACC paperwork ready for you to fill out when you arrive. The payment methods we accept include EFTPOS, credit card (VISA or Mastercard), Bartercard or cash. We also are an accredited member of the Southern Cross Easy-Claim system. Payment is collected at the time of service.
